Resort Politics

Karnataka when Kumaraswamy announces floor test:-BJP MLAs were moved to Wyndham resort in Yelahanka, the JD(S) MLAs were moved to the Prestige Golfshire Resorts in Devanahalli and many Congress MLAs to Taj Yeshwantpur.

Maharashtra:- MLAs of Mr. Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) were taken to Renaissance Hotel, The Shiv Sena has moved 55 of its 56 MLAs to Lalit Hotel in Mumbai’s Andheri, The Congress, meanwhile, has moved its 44 MLAs to JW Marriott in Mumbai.

Madhya Pradesh:- BJP hurried its MLAs to luxury hotel ITC Grand Bharat in Gurugram, Congress will likely move its MLAs from Bhopal to Jaipur later in the day.

Karnataka Model

Many newspapers reported that The plan is to get at least two dozen Congress MLAs in Madhya Pradesh to resign so that the BJP legislative party gains a majority in the Assembly when the actual strength of the state Assembly is reduced close to 200.

In a scenario like that, the BJP will prove its majority with 107 members, with Shivraj Singh Chauhan taking over as Chief Minister, while by-elections are held for more than two dozen seats.

The strategy is similar to the plan followed by the BJP in unseating H.D. Kumaraswamy and enabling B.S. Yeddyurappa to become the Chief Minister. In the subsequent by-election, the BJP managed to gain enough numbers to stabilize its government.
